Cake Rusk is a very popular tea time snacks. It is simply a twice-baked cake. It tastes wonderful. Rusks are very popular biscotti in the USA and they are also backed in the same way. It’s a simple and easy snacks recipe. Today I prepare this rusk without oven. I bake this rusk in the gas oven. Making the batter is super easy because it only involves a few basic ingredients. To make this rusk, pick your favourite cake, cut it into slices and bake again until crisp and golden. You can store these rusks in airtight container and store for your guest.



How To Make Cake Rusk without Oven

Preparation time: 00:30:00

Cooking time: 1 hour 45min

Yield: 5-6

Ingredients:


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cupcake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essences
  • Butter for grease cake tin

Preparation:



  • Take a large Kadai and place a stand on it and preheat on low flame.

  • Take a cake tin and place butter paper on it and add butter and keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add egg and powder sugar and whisk the mixture with a hand whisk.
  • Add vanilla essences and oil and mix well.

  • Add dry ingredients like flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt after sieve. Mix cut and fold method and make a smooth batter.

  • Pour the batter into the cake tin.

  • Back the cake 45 mins on low flame.

  • Cool the cake and cut into thin slices. Now back the cake rusks again.

  •  Take the kadai and place a stand on it and preheat on low flame.
  • Take a plate to arrange the slices on a plate.

  • Put the plate into the preheat kadai and do not cover it. and bake for 15 mints

  • After 15 mints flip the rusks to back the other side for 15 mins.
  • Each side should appear golden brown in colour.

  • Allow the cake rusks to cool completely.
  • Once cooled the rusks will become crunchy and crispy. Store them at an airtight container and enjoy your tea.
