Gulab Jamun is a popular Indian sweet dessert which you can prepare on any occasion or festival. I prepare this sweet for Holi festival. Basically, it’s made from paneer or chenna or khoya, but khoya may not be available in most of the places. So today I prepare Gulab Jamun with milk powder. I prepare homemade instant khoya with milk powder and use it to make Gulab Jamun. Serve Gulab Jamun hot or at room temperature. Garnish gulab jamun with pistachios powder. You can refrigerate it for 4-5 days.

Ingredients of Instant Khoya:

  • 1 cup of dry milk powder
  • 1 cup of liquid milk
  • 1 tablespoon ghee

Preparation of Instant Khoya

  • Take a non-stick pan and add liquid milk, dry milk powder, and ghee. Mix everything very well.
  • Put the mixture on the oven. Continuously stir the mixture to make dough on low flame.
  • After 15 mint when the dough leaves the side of the pan your instant khoya is ready to use. take it out and keep aside for preparation of Gulab Jamun.

Ingredients of Sugar Syrup:

  • 2 cup of sugar
  • 2 cup of water
  • Saffron: 1 pinch
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamoms powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation of Sugar Syrup

  • Take a saucepan, add water, sugar, saffron, and cardamoms.
  • Heat these sugar mixture until it becomes sickly. Then switch off the flame and add lemon juice. Keep the sugar syrup cover and keep aside.

INGREDIENTS FOR GULAB JAMUN BALLS:

  • Instant khoya
  • 1 tablespoon all porous flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups oil for fry
  • Cashew Nut and raisins

Preparation of Gulab Jamun:

  • take instant khoya which is already been prepared.
  • Add flour and baking powder into the khoya and knead for 5-10 mints to make a smooth dough.

  • Make small balls from the dough and flatten the balls with your palm and add cashew and raisin and make balls without crack and keep aside.

  • Heat oil in a
    kadai for deep fry on low flame. When the oil is medium heat then add already prepared small balls or jamun and fry gently.
  • Do not use any spatula. Instead of spatula use a stick and fry until golden brown.

  • Take out the fried jamun and transfer it into the warm sugar syrup.

  • Cover the saucepan and leave it for 3-4 hours to soak the syrup.
  • Then your Gulab Jamun is ready to serve. Garnish with some pistachios powder and enjoy it with your friends.
